Welcome to Creech Road Elementary!
Where and how will my student encounter technology at Creech Road Elementary?
First, each K-5th grade class will rotate through the technology lab every other week. The curriculum during this rotation will focus on using technology as a tool to more deeply explore content being learned in the classroom. Students will also learn information that helps them to become 21st century digital citizens such as Internet safety and the responsibilities of living in the digital era.
Also, students will interact with a variety of technology tools each day in their classroom. Each classroom is equipped with a document camera, an interactive smart board and a projector. Also, teachers have access to iPads, iPad minis, mobile lab with laptop computers in each classroom and 2 computer labs.
What is Creech Road's philosophy for using technology for learning?
Technology is used as a tool to empower students in taking ownership in gaining a deeper understanding of content through the use of research-based instructional strategies that promote flexibility in learning and foster critical thinking, student collaboration, creativity, and communication as global citizens in an ever-changing world.
