Third Grade Goal: Further develop keyboarding and writing skills using the computer and word processor.

The Student will....
1. Write, edit, proofread, spell, save and publish using a word processing program.
2. Increase keyboarding skills through the use of keyboarding software.
3. Use home row key touch typing skills.
4. Learn effective Internet search techniques and resources.
5. Recognize that not all sources are credible.
6. Identify the relationship of copyright date and the value of the information.
7. Construct new knowledge based on information gathered from a variety of sources.
8. Recognize that there are a variety of ways to share information.
9. Select, with minimal assistance, the appropriate media for an intended audience and purpose.
10. Effectively share information.
11. Demonstrate ethic behaviors when using information technology.
12. Develop strategies to avoid/report cyber bullying. Discuss safe behaviors in personal electronic communication. 13. Follow school district policies and other regulations when using resources, including print and digital.
14. Develop awareness and consequences of plagiarism.
15. Document, with assistance, resources referenced in research.
